Taylor Bay is a gated community located near the south end of Key Peninsula, with a beach accessible to all community members. The community was established in the 1960s, and officially became a homeowners' association (HOA) in the early 1990s, comprising approximately 150 homes.
In terms of environmental compliance, we are not only concerned but actively engaged in addressing issues. We work closely with key government agencies and private contractors to safely and effectively resolve routine environmental matters, with special consideration for our unique environment.
What differentiates us from other communities is our active collaboration with government agencies, community members, and professional contractors to ensure that our ongoing operations account for and maintain the delicate balance between nature and people that is inherent in any waterfront community.
For instance, we recently replaced our waterfront bulkhead based on assessments and recommendations from various government agencies focused on the environment. We believe that our carefully implemented bulkhead has effectively minimized our environmental impact on Puget Sound, addressing a significant community concern. Our aim is to be part of the greater Northwest and preserve our community and environment for future generations.
Currently, environmental experts have assessed our treatment plant, and we have developed a long-term solution with the environment being the primary consideration in its implementation. Our community has thrived along Puget Sound for decades, and our commitment to maintaining a vibrant and responsible community is crucial to our continued success.
Features Of Our Community
Taylor Bay Beach Club maintains it's own water and sewer plants. The yearly Homeowner dues and special assessments pay for all the water you need as well as all the (paved) roads maintenance, maintenance of the beach grounds, boat launch, cabana and community park area.
Board Members
Taylor Bay Beach Club has an active and responsible Board of Directors who all live within the community. Board Members are elected positions chosen by community residents. Board Members work as volunteers to the community as they have a vested interest in maintaining the wonderful lifestyle and surroundings that all of it's members get to enjoy.
