President Report:
A big Thank you to the Sweeneys for Painting the tables and benches at the
Cabana
Old Business:
The Geo assessment has been done and is being looked at by the county.
When we get that approved, we should get the permits and have the go
ahead to get bids on the beach project.
Financial audit is being worked on. He has had it since May. There have been
delays due to a partner being killed in a mountain climbing accident, which
has caused him to take on extra work, slowing the process of our audit. He
has called recently to get additional information. Should have the report by
the October Members meeting.
New Business:
Bill said both blowers were out and needed to be replaced, on July 31st. We
purchased 2 blowers, one has been installed. Bill still has the other one.
There have been issues getting Bill to respond to phone calls and e-mails.
Carl Jones, from Department of Ecology, has made some recommendations.
o Also, while at the plant he found a UV light out that needs to be
replaced.
We have received a letter from a community member regarding speeding
cars.
o As a reminder. Please observe our community speed limit of 10mph
Discussion about getting additional mirrors for the blind corners on the back
loop.
Other members have observed kids riding on motor cycles and scooters
without helmets.
o Please be safe and observe the county/state helmet laws
The General Members meeting will be Saturday, October 5th
Discussion regarding one of the members, that received one of our
maintenance reminders, has worked on the list given, it is looking better but
still not complete. The water has been shut off as well for non-payment.
Discussion on making a new policy for a cap on the number of rental’s
allowed with in Taylor Bay Beach Club
Discussion regarding wetlands – verified and unverified wetland exist in
Taylor Bay, to get them verified, you must have an inspector come out.
Reminder to keep your dogs on a leash and please pick up when they poop!
A member has made a request to trim back the holly tree on the right away
on the corner to the back loop.
